2020 Physical Education Fundamentals Revision Guide

This Revision Guide explores the first of the two Principles and Issues that make up the theoretical component of SACE Stage 2 Physical Education – Exercise Physiology & Physical Activity.

The resource is divided into four sections; an initial discussion of the fundamental concept of oxygen supply and demand, followed by a section for each of the three key concepts. Each section ends with a 50 mark exam style test and the subsequent suggested responses.

There are also tips for answering exam questions and some guidance on the issues analysis (the one assessment task common to all students)

This section of the course has three Key Concepts:

A: Exercise Physiology and Physical Activity 

Key Concept 1: The Sources of Energy Affecting Physical Performance

Key Concept 2: The Effects of Training and Evaluation on Physical Performance

Key Concept 3: The Specific Physiological Factors Affecting Performance

Approximately 70% of the questions in the external examination are drawn from these Key Concepts.

Includes Exam Paper questions and Exam tips.
