Day 1. Topic 1: The Fundamentals of Human Nutrition:
Identify the functions of macro nutrients: Carbohydrates, Lipids and Proteins.
Calculate the distribution of macronutrients and compare to national recommendations.

Day 2. Topic 2: Diet, Lifestyle and Health:
Contemporary disorders related to over and under nutrition. 
Identify various risk factors and how symptoms can be managed and reversed through diet and lifestyle.

Day 3. Topic 3: Food Selection and Dietary Evaluation:
Identify physiological, psychological, economic and social factors that influence food selection.

Individualised requests within individual core and option topics will be gladly accommodated by the Seminar Leader. 

Seminar Leader: Ms Jana Pitsadiotis B Nutrition and Food Science, MEd (Biology and Nutrition)
Jana has many years experience teaching Stage 2 Nutrition and has at her current school implemented the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Nutrition programs. Jana's passion for the subject has assisted many of her students achieve excellent results.
